Animalia UEW 2025 – summary
Poaching and the development of pastoralism in the high mountains of Asia are contributing to the drastic decline of the snow leopard population – fewer than 6,000 individuals remain in the wild. In the fourth edition of Animalia, we joined forces for this very species!
As part of Animalia UEW 2025, zoo visitors had the opportunity to participate in an educational game on June 1st, and on June 5th, AniParty attendees participated in charity auctions – all to support snow leopard rescue efforts.
In total, we collected over 6,300 PLN!
The entire amount will be donated to the Snow Leopard Trust, which focuses not only on research but also on conservation education. Furthermore, by enabling work in the production of felt and wool arts and crafts, it provides an alternative source of income for the local population.
We sincerely thank everyone involved in this year’s Animalia and all the participants who supported our efforts.
Thank you to the members of the Student Government of the Wrocław University of Economics!
We look forward to seeing you at Animalia next year.
On the occasion of snow leopards, we would like to inform you that on September 8th, 2025, at 4:30 PM, in Wrocław Zoo will be meeting of the ZOO&DODO to recque snow leopards.
