Wild Run 2024
W tym roku podczas biegu charytatywnego Wild Run wszyscy zawodnicy przebiegli razem blisko 9 000 kilometrów! To wystarczający dystans, by dobiec z Zoo Wrocław na Półwysep Indochiński, którego zagrożoną wyginięciem faunę wesprzemy finansowo całym zyskiem z biegu Wild Run.
Zysk z biegu trafi do:
Re:Wild i wesprze projekt ochrony kanczyla srebrnogrzbietego zamieszkującego Góry Annamskie;
Save Vietnam’s Wildlife – organizacji pomagająca m.in. pangolinom; to najczęściej przemycanym zwierzętom na Ziemi. Ich łuski według zabobonu tzw. “medycyny” chińskiej są towarem porównywanym do rogu nosorożca;
Lao Conservation Trust for Wildlife – organizacji działającej w pobliżu Parku Narodowego Phou Khao Khouay w Laosie;
Endangered Primate Rescue Center – organizacji skoncentrowanej na ochronie i rehabilitacji naczelnych w Wietnamie, a trzeba pamiętać, że blisko 90% naczelnych jest zagrożonych wyginięciem;
Association Anoulak – organizacji wspierającej ochronę m.in. gibonów, dzioborożców, mundżaków;
Wśród biegaczy którzy „wrzucili numer do drugiego oBIEGU” rozlosowano nagrody.

This year, during the charity run Wild Run, all competitors ran nearly 9,000 kilometers together! This is enough distance to get running from the Wrocław Zoo in Poland to the Indochinese Peninsula, whose endangered fauna we will financially support with the entire profit from the Wild Run.
Over 1,100 people took a part in the event organized for the eighth time in history by the Wrocław Zoo, the Foundation ZOO Wrocław DODO and the Association Pro-Run Wrocław. A record amount of over 90,000 PLN was collected for this purpose.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s Wild Run. Great runners at three different distances (100m, 1km and 10km) coped with the routes very well. The weather did not spoil us at all – for the first time in the history of our runs there was no sun, but the atmosphere of the event wasn’t cold at all.
Thanks to the financial support of sponsors and contributions from competitors, we collected a record amount of over PLN 90,000, all of which will be donated to the protection of endangered animal species in Asia! Financial assistance provided for the protection of wild animal species is priceless.
As in previous years, we opened Wild Run with a competition with prizes for dressing up as an animal. At the running scene we saw, among others, a butterfly, a zebra, a flamingo and even a unicorn.
At 3.45 p.m. the youngest ran in a symbolic 100-meter race. A moment later, the youth started in a 1 km run. The warm-up before the main 10 km race was led by Marta Kruk, a personal trainer from Codziennie Fit. All participants of the race received a medal.
The honorary patron of the race was the Mayor of Wrocław, Jacek Sutryk.
Much support for Wild Run 2024 was obtained from sponsors and partners.
Since the first edition of the Wild Run, Bistro Laguna has been supporting us with regenerative meals – this year we ate delicious Asian rice with vegetables. For the same time, our competitors receive comfortable bags from Orfin. This year’s ones had the image of a white-cheeked gibbon – the ambassador of the race.
At the zoo we had interesting stands of sponsors: KGHM, Penta Hospitals Polska, Orthos and Wrocław Zoo& Foundation DODO and the Medical University.
Wrocław’s tap water was once again the official water of the Wild Run run thanks to cooperation with MPWiK Wrocław.
This year’s novelty was the returning of start numbers, which will be reused in nexts Wild Runs. We had lottery among runners who „entered the number into the second circuit”.
The financial sponsors of this year’s Wild Run are: KGHM, ProCleaner, Aqua Serwis, Pałac Henryków, Szybka Serwis Księgowa SZOK and Selfibox.
There were also sponsors who, in addition to financial support, provided prizes for the race participants: Penta Hospitals Polska and Hotel Kłodzko.
The awards were also donated by: Zoo Wrocław, Centrum Ślęza, MPWIK, Lody Wanda, Przystanek ZOO, Karczma Koala, Szok – Szpec od Koralików, JBL, Cafe DODO, Wonderful Lighting – Garden of lights, Pol-Vending, IMMOTION and Tytka Fit.
The Association Pro-Run Wrocław was responsible for professional time measurement and the Wrocław Emergency Medical Service from Ziębicka Street was responsible for medical safety.
Thanks to Main Military Secondary School in Wrocław – Husarz, School Volunteer Club in Smolec and numerous friends of the Foundation Zoo Wrocław Dodo for their voluntary help.
We would like to thank all competitors, sponsors, partners and volunteers for joining the Wild Run initiative and today we invite you on October 5th, 2025, to Wild Run 2025 to save the endangered animal species in Europe.
