Fundraiser for Australian animals affected by the bushfire
Description
Project: FUNDRAISER FOR AUSTRALIAN ANIMALS AFFECTED BY THE BUSHFIRE
Country: Australia
Project website: www.zoo.org.au/fire-fund/
The fires have probably contributed to the extinction of Kangaroo Island dunnart (Sminthiopsis aitkeni) on Kangaroo Island – tiny marsupials storing fat in the tail, or the glossy black cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus lathami halmaturinus) – a beautiful bird from the cockatoo family.
The surviving animals need veterinary care and food. Bush: its vegetation and the insects that inhabit it, will not recover quickly!
The employees of Zoos Victoria rushed to help the animals. They are the veterinarians, the keepers of wild animals, who know best how to deal with burned wild animals. We want to help them by donating funds to the Bushfire Emergency Wildlife Fund!
For this purpose, together with Zoo Wrocław, we organized a fundraiser, during which we managed to collect PLN 166,588, which we donated in full to the Bushfire Emergency Wildlife Fund.
